Are you born Spiritually?

In the Gospel of John chapter 3 Jesus tells Nicodemus that there are two births in this life one of the flesh and one of the spirit.

The birth of the spirit is a gift just like the birth of the flesh. We do nothing to be born in this life, it’s a gift.

Jesus said that if we believe in Him or let me say trust in Him He will come into our life and guide it for the rest of our lives.

That doesn’t mean saying a little prayer and thinking it’s done. What it does mean is that we give our life to Jesus. Then we do what he tells us to do in the word of God the Bible.

How do you do that?  First you realize that you cannot get into heaven without Him. Then you understand the reason you cannot, it is because you’ve fallen short of God’s perfection. His perfect love.

That is sin, anything that is not done in perfect love is sin. That can be a thought, that could be a deed, that could be not doing something that you know you should. When don’t help someone out or not doing what you know God wants you to do.

Think to yourself, what you think sin is, Moses gave us 10 commandments Jesus gave us two.

  Moses said

1.  You shall not have any other gods before God the creator of all things.

2. He also said You shall not miss use the name of the Lord your God, meaning you will not use it as a cuss word as many do today.

3. Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy, this means you remember a day to take with God meaning resting in him taking time for Him.

4. Honor your father and mother.

5. You shall not murder.

6. You shall not commit adultery, Jesus said if you look at another person thinking sexual thoughts you’ve already committed adultery with them in your mind and in your life.

7. You shall not steal.

8. You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor, that means false testimony against anyone because Jesus said anyone is your neighbor.

9. You shall not covet your neighbor’s house, 

10. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife or man’s servant or maid servant his ox is donkey or anything else that belongs to your neighbor.

How many times have you or would I even say me thought about how nice the house the other person has, how nice the car the other person has, how beautiful the wife the other person has, that is coveting.

Just going through these ten commandments we all have fallen short and have sinned.

Jesus gave humans two commandments.

1. love the Lord your God with all your heart all your mind and all your soul

2. love your neighbor as yourself.

If you go through those ten commandments, Jesus is to commandments covers everything.

If you love God you won’t have any other gods before Him, you won’t use His name in vain, you’ll keep a day to be with Him and love Him.

If we love our neighbors as our self we would love our father and mother, we wouldn’t kill, we wouldn’t commit adultery against them, we wouldn’t steal from them, we wouldn’t give false testimony against them, you wouldn’t desire their house or their wife or their man servant donkey or anything else.

What’s the solution? The solution is allowing Jesus to come into your life. Seek Jesus with all your heart. Study the Word of God so you can know who Jesus is. And he will at that point guide the rest of your life.

Just say, Jesus I know that I am a sinner, I know that I can’t get into heaven by myself because I’ve sin all my life in fact I know that I’m still a sinner but I know You love me, I know You died on the cross to take all my sins. I’m asking You right now to remove all my sins, give me a clear connection with You and my Father in heaven. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins, lead and guide me from this day forward, I’m asking this in Jesus name amen.

If you sincerely prayed this prayer and realize you must 1. Read the Bible 2. Pray everyday no matter what you’re doing pray without ceasing. 3. You seek and find the right church that is a Bible teaching Church and go to it weekly if not a couple times a week, and find a place to serve in the church. 4. Find other Christians that you can walk with in this life. 5. You are so full of the understanding that you know now you’re going to heaven because of what Jesus did for you tonight or today that you have to tell other people what he has done for you and for them.
