I have known Him
I have walked with Him
In the darkness of my life.
He was there carrying me
Tenderly in His arms of love.
I have been upheld
With His promises of mercy.
He has lifted me
Above the storm.
I have ridden on top
Of the flood of my soul
With Him.
He has been my strength
In my own weakness
My constant companion.
Tears fill my eyes,
How can I give Jesus
All of the honor
And glory due to Him?
Words fail me…
But I can praise Him
And testify from the depths
Of my innermost being…
He was there!
Praise His name forever.
