Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.—Psalm 34:19

Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.—Psalm 34:19

Is it raining afflictions for you, little flower? Don’t worry. Your prayers and those of your loved ones will cause the rainbow to shine through in all of its splendid colors, and the sunshine to break through again. Do you have pain and discomfort, and do you shed a few tears? Don’t worry, dear one, for the comfort you desire is just around the corner. Jesus understands the battle that you are fighting, but be not weary and be not afraid, for the end of this trying time will come. Hold on.

Although you have been tested with these afflictions, God has allowed them, for they can bring about sweetness, tenderness, and beauty. He will touch the pain and the hurt. You will feel His healing hand. Don’t worry about anything, for nothing will happen to you that is too difficult for you to bear. God will not let it be so. He knows it’s a difficult battle, but He will help you to bear it and He will make the way easier.

Rest upon Jesus’s breast and receive the grace, strength, and help that you need. He’s proud of you for being such a cheerful, brave soldier. He’s proud of you for enduring these afflictions even through your tears with such faith. He will not fail you. He will heal and restore your health, and you will not faint, you will not fall.

So let your heart be at peace. As long as you hold on and continue to call on Jesus’s power and strength and let Him fight for you, you will have the victory. As long as you let Him live through you and you turn to Him for the help that you need, you will have His help not only today in this battle with these afflictions, but every day and for every battle.

No temptation has overtaken you that are not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.—1 Corinthians 10:13

As the honey is extracted by the honeycomb being squeezed, so does the sweetness of your spirit shine forth through this time of affliction, this time of pain. Through the squeezing and crushing of your life, the beauties of your spirit, the love within your heart, and the treasures of your soul pour forth.

Though it hurts Jesus’s heart to see you suffer so, He knows that the blessings you’re receiving during this time of affliction are well worth the price you pay. He knows the pain. This is no light affliction, but it is only for a moment, and will produce a far more exceeding and eternally wonderful work in you.

Though the pain runs deep, though you suffer almost to the point of death, Jesus is near you. In the times when no one else is around, it’s just you and Jesus. He’s so close to you. When you are weak, He remains strong. He is the strength in your weakness and affliction. He holds you in His arms and He doesn’t allow more than He knows you can handle and endure.

My cheerful one, fighting through this intense and trying affliction, He’s so proud of you. You’re in the deep, dark cave of affliction, and the jewels that you will discover in the rocks of these hard dark walls will remain with you forever.

The darkness will soon be gone, Gods love. You’ll see a speck of light in the distance, and as you keep letting Jesus carry you, together you’ll move closer and closer to that light. The light is the light of victory, the light of His promises to you. The light will chase away the shades of night and darkness.

You can barely see the light, but it’s there. So keep your eyes on the light, on the victory that’s in sight. Continue collecting the treasures and gems that you find along the way in this cave of affliction. These jewels will remain with you and serve as a reminder of how Jesus keeps you, sustains you, and gives you the victory.

Behold, we consider those blessed who remained steadfast. You have heard of the steadfastness of Job, and you have seen the purpose of the Lord, how the Lord is compassionate and merciful.—James 5:11

*

You have borne your cross bravely, with praise on your lips and in your heart. Your praises and prayers have ascended to Jesus’s courts, and He has poured down grace and strength for every affliction. Each man has a cross to bear. Sometimes it’s a cross of affliction of many years. But the cross makes way for the crown. Though you may have to bear the cross longer than you would have chosen, please know that God’s grace is sufficient for you. Remember that Jesus walked this path before you.

I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.—Romans 8:18

Jesus’s loving hand reaches down
To touch and soothe and heal;
To strengthen your weak and weary body—
He understands the pain you feel.

Rest in His strong and able arms
And look upon His face,
For in those moments spent with Him
The pain will be erased.

For joy will come again, Jesus promises,
This time will be for just a while;
Soon you will be well again
And you’ll remember no more the trial.

My dear and precious love, Jesus hurts
To see you suffering so,
Yet He works to bring about
Blessings you soon will know.

So take this time to love Him, dear,
And draw even nearer to His breast.
He holds you up and comfort you,
And He will give you rest.

His grace is sufficient for you, for His power is made perfect in weakness.—2 Corinthians 12:9
