Treasures in Heaven
Yet true godliness with contentment is itself great wealth. After all, we brought nothing with us when we came into the world, and we can’t take anything with us when we leave it. So if we have enough food and clothing, let us be content.
But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows. 1 Timothy 6:6-10
When does the desire to have money or nice things become wrong?
How does that play into your contentment?
About 45 years ago the Lord gave me this verse. MAT. 6:19-20. 19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
I do my best to use what I have to gain treasures in heaven.
So great to see that we think alike Candace, Josiah, Empress2inspire, and Kanika. Hugs in God’s love.
