Is there life after death?

“Finally, the poor man died and was carried by the angels to be with Abraham. The rich man also died and was buried, and his soul went to the place of the dead. There, in torment, he saw Abraham in the far distance with Lazarus at his side.” Luke 16:22-24

What does this verse say about what happens after you die?

What do you think about most when you think about death?

Notes

As these verses say, there is life after death. Our bodies are temporary and last sometimes 100 years. The eternal life is for eternity. Jesus points out in this verse, that the rich man had much in this life but, he lived his life separate from God. The money did not separate him, because the Bible tells us it the love of money that’s bad, not money itself. The rich man did not seek to walk with God in this life therefore when he died he continued this way. The poor man was with Abraham, so he did seek to walk with God here on this earth, therefore Jesus knew him when he entered into eternal life after his body died. I was told once that if a person is not comfortable living with Jesus here, they would not be happy living with Him for eternity. Does this make sense to you?
