I had a dream that I was with a bunch of friends and we were riding bikes. We were trying to pass through different areas on a map and every area that we went through we could check it off, well by my mistaken understanding I thought we were to get to the Finish Line as quickly as possible. They were going through the different checkpoints. I ended up getting to the Finish Line very quickly. I had a hard time just before getting to the finish line because I had to go up a muddy hill, but then I touched the tree. When I came to find out that everybody else was trying to go to as many other checkpoints as they could, but by my mistake, I went straight to the finish line. I felt silly. When I woke up I prayed about the interpretation of this dream. Came to find out that everybody was running around trying to get things done and checking off the different location on the map of this world as they tried to find the truth of life. I was running straight to the finish line, the Finish Line was God’s Kingdom. I touched the cross of Jesus after running up a muddy hill to the finish line. To my surprise I received this quote on an app I have called BeyondSundays. about an hour later.
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author, and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:1-2 What was the joy awaiting Jesus? Jesus’s joy, set before Him, was going back with His Father in Heaven. I remember when he was with his disciples and they could not cast out a demon and he said how long must I be with this unbelieving nation. Mat. 17:17
How are joy and endurance related in your life? The greatest joy I have is when I have the privilege of sensing the spirit of God on me. When I’m able to be used of God to bring someone to understand who Jesus really is and how much they need His love. When they come to Jesus, surrendering to Him asking Him to guide their life, giving them eternal life with Him in heaven.
