Exodus 3:10 NKJV 10 Come now, therefore, and I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring My people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt. But Moses said to God, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh, and that I should bring the children of Israel out of Egypt? So He said, “I will certainly be with you. And this shall be a sign to you that I have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain. Then Moses said to God, “Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say to them? And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’

Moses was 80 years old when God calls him. He can call anyone at any point in their life to do His will and purpose He has for them. God uses people to accomplish His purposes.
Moses finds out how truly Holy God is when he is told by God Himself to take off his shoes. Then he sees how God answers the prayers of His people and that God who cares.
Moses came to understand that God was going to use him after his fall from the great position in Egypt. Moses failed by taking it on his own and killing the Egyptian.
Moses had to leave Egypt and was a shepherd of sheep for 40 years. When he was 80 God called him to free His people Israel. Moses had been humbled and now knew only God could free His people. When we come to understand that we need God’s help in the thing He calls us to do, that is when He can use us, because He gets all the Glory.
Moses tells God he cannot do what He is asking by saying “who am I Lord. God confirms that Moses cannot do free the Israel people but says that He will be with Moses. God’s will for Moses would be accomplished because God Himself would free His people.
Moses had to come to the place in his life where he was willing to seek, listen and obey God’s Holy Spirit.
God has a plan for every believer. We too need to seek to listen and obey our Lord’s Holy Spirit if we want Him to use us in the world.
